Built to meet your needs.

Personalize your workload through seven possible configurations.

Flexible consolidation. Ready for the unexpected.

The cobas 6000 analyzer series delivers an efficient mix of broad test menu and fast turnaround time – even as workloads grow.

  • Consolidates more than 150 tests on one integrated platform
  • Combines STAT with routine testing without disruption
  • Seamlessly integrates pre- and post- analytical solutions
  • Flexibility to expand and reconfigure existing system configurations onsite to meet your lab’s evolving needs
  • Industry leading 9-minute STAT cardiac assays on a lab based platform

Unique reagent concept.

Convenient handling, cost-effective operation.

From routine assays to innovative biomarkers, most high performing labs need easy to use and cost effective reagents. The cobas 6000 analyzer series delivers by offering liquid ready-to-use reagents based on  a unique reagent concept.

  • Liquid ready-to-use cobas c and cobas e packs (95 percent of total assay portfolio) eliminate error involved with human mixing of reagents
  • “On the fly” loading of chemistry reagents during operation
  • Standardized reagents across the cobas family of analyzers
  • Economic usage with high stabilities and convenient kit sizes. Long on-board stability (OBS) of cobas reagents minimizes wasted tests. Immunoassays have an OBS of 56 days and chemistries have  OBS of 67 days on average

Superior analytical standards.

Right the first time.

Most high performing labs stake their reputation on quality. The trust of their clinicians is paramount. The cobas 6000 analyzer series inspires confidence by reaching superior standards of analytical performance.

  • State-of-the-art immunoassay tests using electrochemiluminscence (ECL) technology offers a broad measuring range and low end sensitivity (i.e. HCG+β: 0.10 – 10,000 mIU/mL), virtually eliminating the need for dilutions and repeat testing
  • Standardized test results between all testing sites using cobas family of analyzers allow for greater consistency in physician result interpretation
  • Sample and system integrity checks help to ensure quality results (e.g. test-specific serum indices, disposable immunoassay tips and cups, and clot and liquid level detection)
  • ECL immunoassays have CV (co-efficient of variation) of less than six percent on average

Proven system performance.

Maximum system uptime.

  • Partnership with Hitachi: over 30 years as a total solution provider
  • Proven system reliability powered by simple and mostly automated maintenance helps to ensure test results can be reported when you need them
  • An on-time preventative maintenance completion rate of greater than 99 percent keeps system at peak performance*
  • Over 9,000 modules installed worldwide

Average system uptime rate of more than 99.9 percent, thus helping to avoid costly unplanned laboratory downtime*

* PRISMA Service Data; 12 month period ending 4/3/14

Seamless implementation.

With you every step of the way.

Most high performing labs cannot afford complex installations and long ramp-up periods. Roche's team of experienced lab process consultants, engineers, and project managers help ensure the cobas 6000 analyzer series is seamlessly implemented and well supported.

  • Individualized solutions through work-process consultations with a team of highly-experienced Lab Process Consultants, with 29 years on average of lab industry exposure
  • Dedicated certified project managers and IT projects minimize implementation time to ensure lab service levels are optimized
  • 89 percent of technical support calls answered live within 40 seconds, which leads to a 68 percent remote fix rate (based on 2010 Roche Technical Support Call Center Statistics)
  • Connectivity via cobas link enables a secure gateway connection between the laboratory
and Roche Diagnostics. This connection brings you the advantages of the latest in remote diagnostics, real-time service and support, efficient troubleshooting and anti-virus and application patching for system protection
